Last year, with your support, the GCFPA was able to provide gift cards for all of the children in foster care from Greenville County. We hope to do the same this year for the more than 400 of Greenville's children who will be in foster care during the holidays.
Years ago we collected toys and physical gifts, but in 2020 we began sending gift cards to foster parents, and they shop for the children. This has been very well received by foster parents, group home managers, case workers, and, most importantly, the children in foster care.
Our goal is to provide each child from Greenville County who is in foster care with gift cards (Target, Walmart, or Visa Vanilla) worth $100 or more!
All of the money donated to this campaign will go directly to the children; none is taken out for salaries or administrative expenses.
The past several years have been challenging times for so many in our community. If you are not able to participate we understand. You can still help the children in foster care by sharing our campaign with your network of friends and family.
We'd like to thank you in advance for your generous support. It takes an entire community to make this campaign happen each year.
We need your help! We are asking donors to provide a monetary donation that we will use to purchase gift cards. These cards will then be distributed to purchase gifts and clothing for the children. All donations are tax deductible.
